About Me

Gunnie Silveira

I’m excited to share my love for STEM with children through fun, dynamic, hands-on activities that spark their imagination and enthusiasm for learning. Each lesson is crafted to answer their questions, and I will work alongside them to discover the answers while fostering their natural curiosity. Learning can be a joyful adventure, and the weekly activities will help them build a positive relationship with knowledge and exploration. I can’t wait to inspire curiosity and creativity in young minds, empowering them to become confident thinkers and innovative problem-solvers!

Te Whāriki & The New Zealand Curriculum

Te Whāriki holds the promise that all children will be empowered to learn with and alongside others by engaging in experiences that are meaningful to them. Set out by the Ministry of Education, it is organized around principles, strands, goals, and learning outcomes, which together provide the framework for a holistic curriculum.

The New Zealand Curriculum supports and empowers all students to learn and achieve personal excellence, regardless of their individual circumstances. It envisions young people as lifelong learners who are confident and creative, connected, and actively involved in the well-being of New Zealand.

Our lessons are thoughtfully designed to meet the learning outcomes of Te Whāriki and The New Zealand Curriculum, ensuring that every child develops the skills and knowledge necessary for their holistic growth. For a well-rounded education, our activities nurture all areas of development—cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and cultural. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, children are empowered to explore, communicate, contribute, develop a sense of belonging, and focus on their wellbeing, all while building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success.
