Lesson Plan: Storytelling

Age Group: 3-5 years 
Duration: 45 minutes  

Objective: Activity promotes creativity, sequential thinking, and early comprehension of how stories are built and how ideas can evolve collaboratively, fostering both scientific inquiry and communication skills.

Te Whāriki learning outcomes fulfilled:

1) Enjoying hearing stories and retelling them and creating them.

2) Playing, Imaging, Creating & reinventing

3) Treating others fairly and including them in play.

The New Zealand Curriculum

1) Explore everyday examples of physical phenomena, such as movement, forces, electricity and magnetism, light, sound, waves, and heat.

2) Seek and describe simple patterns in physical phenomena.
